How comforting would it be for you to have a warm, feminine presence at your side who understood the normal process of birth and who could provide you with encouragement, as well as emotional and physical support?

· Continuity of care throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period · 24-hour on-call beginning 2 weeks prior to due date · Phone consultations · Support during labor · Assistance with breastfeeding |

· 1-3 prenatal visits, depending on need and time available in pregnancy · Provide a suggested reading list · Large lending library · Assist with community resources for childbirth education classes, clinical care providers, and birth place options · Birth plan counseling, if you choose to make one |

· Continuous emotional, physical and educational support for you and your partner throughout the birth and I will stay for 1-2 hours after the birth to make sure breastfeeding has been established and you are stable. |

· Review birth and discuss parent's feelings · Breastfeeding support and information · Newborn care and parenting information · A "birth story" written for you if you wish · An "album" of your baby's photos, if you have chosen to have birth photography · Continued telephone contact and support |

· Doula Fee: $600 · Retainer: $250 (non-refundable) Paid upon contract signing · Out of Area Fee (over 1 hour from Richmond, MI) $50 · Balance to be paid in full at 2nd prenatal or 2 weeks before estimated due date, whichever comes first |
